Our mission in creating Zhive is to engineer a world
where Gen Z can build relationships, explore carefully
curated content from a trusted resource, and
celebrate female and nonbinary youth as they realize
their power. Through Zhive, we are shaping an online
experience for future entrepreneurs, innovators,
leaders, activists, and creatives everywhere.

Who We Are:
Zhive is a digital multimedia company that fosters relationships with teen girls across a diverse network. Our unique vision is a world where girls, as well as trans and nonbinary youth, are celebrated as they step into their superpowers.
Here at Zhive Magazine, we create content to educate, empower, and inspire teen girls. We present material across a wide variety of topics, including diverse perspectives, and produce high-quality content for girls and their allies aged 14-18.
We are always looking for writers to craft engaging and thoughtful articles for Zhive’s digital magazine. We accept writing across multiple subjects, including Activism and Activist Issues, Entertainment, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Lifestyle, Hobbies, Self-Care, Art and Culture, Features, Identity, and more!
We especially wish to highlight articles that possess a unique
perspective or angle. Our content is not simply created for teen
girls in general, but for teen girls in every form. We welcome
submissions from queer, non-binary, and trans perspectives,
as well as persons of color and other minority groups, fully
knowing that Gen Z is a diverse group of individuals and such
teens need to see themselves represented in our content.
We are here to provide the opportunity for a varied and
exceptional group of authors to have their voices heard.

Guidelines:

All personal stories must be true, and all articles must be thoroughly fact-checked.

Recommended article length is 200 to 2,000 words.

Articles can be on any subject but must be written for a teen audience.

All submissions must be original unpublished work written by the applicant.

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

We are open to multiple formats and article types – listicles, personal essays, reviews, recommendations, Op-Eds, criticisms, DIYs, and tutorials, as well as informational
and informative pieces. Additional materials, such as original photos and videos that accompany your piece, are also encouraged to be submitted as well.

To Submit:
To submit a piece for consideration, please email submissions@zhivemedia.com with the following material:

Your submissions can be as a Google Doc, Microsoft Word, or other document that can be edited.

A one to two-sentence bio written in the third person.

Any external links to your website/writer profile/social media you would like included with your piece.

Any high-quality photos or videos that you have taken or made that may accompany the article.

A headshot (optional) which may be included with your piece.

Additional Info:
There is no submission fee. Multiple submissions from
the same author is welcome.
Please recognize that, at this time, we are relying on
heavily on the work of interns, volunteers, and unpaid
contributions to accomplish our mission. We are
unable to offer compensation for submissions at
this time, but we do credit all authors with a byline
and bio and will include any links back to your social,
website, or blog.
We are also continually accepting writers for internships and regular writing contributions. If we like your submission(s), we may offer a regular beat or column to you!
